In Search of God's Promises

What is the one thing we do when we feel out of control in a situation? We grasp onto something stable, something we can lean on, something that will hold us up. When the ground is shifting we want something solid to stand on. This is a journey through the Bible in search of God's promises for us today. Let's look together to see how many "boulders" He has in His quarry for us to stand on! "It is not the children of the flesh who are children of God, but the children of the promise are regarded as descendants." Rom. 9:8

Promise 4 from Deuteronomy 1:31

Deut. 1:31 - "And in the wilderness where you saw how  the Lord your God carried you, just as a man carries his son, in all the way which you have walked until you come to this place."

I love this picture of the Father God. Moses is saying to the Israelites, "Remember how He carried you all the way?" The Heavenly Father carries His beloved sons and daughters through life's trials. He doesn't stay at a distance and points toward the way out of our trials. He carries us through the wilderness taking every blow that we do. Do you remember how He carried you, all the way until now?
