In Search of God's Promises

What is the one thing we do when we feel out of control in a situation? We grasp onto something stable, something we can lean on, something that will hold us up. When the ground is shifting we want something solid to stand on. This is a journey through the Bible in search of God's promises for us today. Let's look together to see how many "boulders" He has in His quarry for us to stand on! "It is not the children of the flesh who are children of God, but the children of the promise are regarded as descendants." Rom. 9:8

Promise 10 Gen. 3:15

Gen. 3:15 - "And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed. He shall bruise you on the head, and you shall bruise him on the heel." Not all promises from God are pleasant. Satan found that out when God promised that he would be crushed. Many will give birth to the One who will crush the deceiver. That means for us that Jesus will rule over us, not Satan. Jesus will be stronger and is stronger than the enemy when we turn to Him. That is the promise we can embrace.
