In Search of God's Promises

What is the one thing we do when we feel out of control in a situation? We grasp onto something stable, something we can lean on, something that will hold us up. When the ground is shifting we want something solid to stand on. This is a journey through the Bible in search of God's promises for us today. Let's look together to see how many "boulders" He has in His quarry for us to stand on! "It is not the children of the flesh who are children of God, but the children of the promise are regarded as descendants." Rom. 9:8

Promise 9 Gen. 2:18

Gen. 2:18 - "Then the Lord God said, 'It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make a helper suitable for Him'." Have you noticed that God's first attempt to finding a suitable helper for Adam was to create the animals and birds? When they fell short of satisfaction then Eve was created. God, Himself said that it is not good for man to be alone, He will provide a helper, a companion, for each person. It may not be in the form of a husband or a wife, but the promise is; He will not keep us alone. (However a husband WOULD be nice! :-) )
