In Search of God's Promises

What is the one thing we do when we feel out of control in a situation? We grasp onto something stable, something we can lean on, something that will hold us up. When the ground is shifting we want something solid to stand on. This is a journey through the Bible in search of God's promises for us today. Let's look together to see how many "boulders" He has in His quarry for us to stand on! "It is not the children of the flesh who are children of God, but the children of the promise are regarded as descendants." Rom. 9:8

Promise 23 from Deuteronomy 7:21

Need to go back to this verse, too good to pass up!

Deut. 7:21 - "'You shall not dread them, for the Lord your God is in your midst, a great and awesome God.'"

Have you ever stood right in the midst of God? It is the most amazing experience! Your body just goes numb as a peace washes over you. Yesterday (written in Nov 21) during worship in a BSSM class at Bethel, Redding, I saw myself worshipping at Jesus' feet surrounded by a cloud of glory, it made me dance like a ballerina all around Him, He was laughing and enjoying the moment with me. There is so much freedom in the presence of God. No one else matters when it is just me and Jesus. God is telling the Israelites that He will be in their midst, they will have no need to worry about a thing. God promises that for us too! "Christ in you" allows you to carry His presence, to feel His touch and hear His laughter over you. Why don't you step into His presence today?
