In Search of God's Promises

What is the one thing we do when we feel out of control in a situation? We grasp onto something stable, something we can lean on, something that will hold us up. When the ground is shifting we want something solid to stand on. This is a journey through the Bible in search of God's promises for us today. Let's look together to see how many "boulders" He has in His quarry for us to stand on! "It is not the children of the flesh who are children of God, but the children of the promise are regarded as descendants." Rom. 9:8

Promise 10 from Exodus 3:20-21

Ex. 3:20-21 - "So I will stretch out my hand and strike Egypt with all My miracles which I shall do in the midst of it...; I will grant this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians; and it shall be that when you go, you will not go empty handed." These verses are very specific to the events that will take place in Egypt, yet we can take some promises for ourselves from these, because they reveal the very heart and power of God. God can and will "strike" or amaze a place with His miracles. Look how full towns and cities were upturned when they saw the miracles through Jesus and the disciples. The same can and does happen today! He can and will grant His people, us, favor in the eyes of those to whom we are sent. We will go to them with hands full and leave full..... full of blessings. That is God's character and His power that is available to us just as it was made available to Moses and to many others. We don't need to be shy about going forward to set people free, God goes before us and He performs His miracles through us in the places where He calls us to. Thank you Lord!
