In Search of God's Promises

What is the one thing we do when we feel out of control in a situation? We grasp onto something stable, something we can lean on, something that will hold us up. When the ground is shifting we want something solid to stand on. This is a journey through the Bible in search of God's promises for us today. Let's look together to see how many "boulders" He has in His quarry for us to stand on! "It is not the children of the flesh who are children of God, but the children of the promise are regarded as descendants." Rom. 9:8

Promise 9 from Exodus 3:19

Ex. 3:19 - "But I know the king of Egypt will not permit you to go except by a strong hand. " Often times we think that God is only going to ask us to do 'safe' things (with the exception of going into the military or becoming a fireman). We think that He won't purposefully send us in front of an enemy or we believe that He is just as surprised as we are when opposition strikes. God knew, and even told Moses, that his mission was going to be a tough one, but He also explained to him what the victory will look like. There will be victory! God is not surprised when difficulties arise, He doesn't have to scramble to figure out how to help us get through them and He knows the outcome, He holds the victory in His hands, Thank you Lord!
